Since 2010, Keep Covington Beautiful has been a certified affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. We're a proud program of the Center for Great Neighborhoods and a dedicated partner of the City of Covington.

Our core mission is to inspire and support Covington residents in community improvement and beautification efforts. We achieve this through a series of annual events and ongoing initiatives centered on waste management, litter reduction, and community beautification.

Join us on Saturday, November 1 for the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event - brought to you by the Northern Kentucky Solid Waste Management Area and sponsored by the Kentucky Division of Waste Management - as either a participant or a volunteer!! Start saving those batteries, chemicals, and electronics NOW to be properly disposed of later!! The registration form is in our bio.

Last weekend, @ensafeinc Cincinnati office volunteered at Goebel Park, where they spent the morning collecting litter. Are you looking for a meaningful team-building activity or for a way for your company to give back? We're always excited to collaborate with corporate groups! Whether your team has a beautification idea they want to bring to life or you're ready to lend a hand with one of our existing projects, we'd love to hear from you. The Fall River Sweep was a great success - across 19 cleanup sites along the Ohio River, 409 people volunteered, collecting 34,475 pounds of trash and 5,379 pounds of recycling - and 231 tires!! Our Covington crew showed up 56 volunteers strong, and we removed 79 bags of trash, 36 bags of recycling, 4 tires, and a propane tank from our stretch of the shoreline. Big thank you to @orsancochannel for organizing the cleanup.

The Covington Urban Forestry Board is holding their annual fall tree planting this Saturday, October 4th. Anyone can join - coffee provided by @kungbrewcafe , and donuts provided by @emersonsbakery 🌳

On Saturday, October 4, over 30 organizations will be joining together, working at over 20 cleanup locations across Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Pennsylvania, to clean our shorelines in preparation for America’s River Roots Festival. Please join us at Scribble Art Park, as we clean the shoreline from the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge to the mouth of the Licking River. The registration link is in our bio. We had a great time at the Licking River and Ohio River Confluence Clean-up this weekend!! Thanks to 20 partner organizations and 36 incredible volunteers, we collected 43 bags of trash - that’s 1,690 pounds of waste!! - from the shorelines of the Ohio and the Licking Rivers. A special thanks to @kwalliance for organizing the event.

We collected 162 pounds in June, 590 pounds in July, and 314 pounds in August - which brings our summer total to 1,066 pounds!!

Even the smallest electronics can be dropped off in our REBOOT bin, 24/7. Every little bit helps!!

We are excited to announce we are partnering with the Kentucky Waterways Alliance (@kwalliance) and a number of other incredible organizations for an early Fall River Sweep!!

Please join us on Saturday, September 6th, for a cleanup of the Licking River shoreline. Volunteers will have the option to clean the Newport bank (starting at General James Taylor Park) or the Covington bank (starting at Randolph Park). Kenton County residents are invited to register for an informational rain barrel class hosted by the Kenton County Cooperative Extension. Class attendees go home with their own rain barrel!! The registration link can be found in our bio.
